Default Aftermarket Lug Nuts

What are the best aftermarket lug nuts?

How do the ebay ones compare to the branded ones like Gorilla or Mcgard?

How do you know that the branded ones are better quality? What characteristics would they have besides not cracking or whatever?

MCgards are the ones to get. They hold up very well.

McGard's here. Far tooooo important and too cheap to mess with ebay crap as far as I'm concerned.

Gorilla lug nuts are the way to go. Don't take a chance on ebay crap.

Just get a known quality brand. Gorilla or McGard will do. No need to waste money on rainbow JDM y0 titanium, but plain dumb to risk your life by saving a few buck on eBay soft metal garbage that can't hold a torque spec.

I bought a set of Gorilla racing lug nuts from Amazon (ships and sold by Amazon) and this is how they were delivered. I returned those and ordered a replacement set and they turned out to be exactly the same. Unbelievable how badly rusted they where.

Amazon is known to sell a lot of counterfeit good, even things fulfilled by Amazon. That doesn't look like any Gorilla packaging I've ever seen.

Personally, I have never read a news report or heard anyone say that Amazon is known for counterfeit items. So maybe next time you make sure a bold claim you should provide real evidence.

Plenty of news articles on it, especially recently.

The made in china titanium lug nuts are the strongest. One of the vendors on here did some tests.

Everything is made in china. more famously the iphones you guys use. It's just a matter of which vendor/brand you are going with.

Unbranded are usually the ones with issues.

And then of course we have a problem with counterfeit items. There has always been an issue with that. It's nothing new.

For track, get the open lugs so you can see if they are coming loose.

Has anyone ever actually broken a lug nut? I don't think I've ever even heard of a broken lug.

Heard of a cracked one. But very rare.
