Unplug it and then Plug it back in and count the led flash sequence. That will tell you the software version. The current version is 8.6.1 the last I heard.

If you have the box and bought it new, there will be a sticker with the version of the unit on the box. 8.6.1 is the latest version. I just spoke with AFM last week.

Mine has sat for a month also with no problem . The draw issue was fixed with the latest firmware update
