TCM Tuning
So what 1/4 mile improvement can one expect from tuning the TCM? Stock/basic bolt-ons package.
2017+ cost $400 (credits + unlock) so I'm just trying to get a cost/benefit analysis.
(shhh. just asking for a friend)

little to none for bolt-ons. you can adjust torque converter lockup and shift points, torque management stuff but I really don't think you will pick up anything meaningful or measurable. mostly for shift feel in the TCM, the stock WOT programming is already very good. The part throttle driveability is horrible though and lots of room for improvement there.
in my opinion.

I picked up a few tenths by reducing TM, modifying shift points/shift pressures etc. It's worth while if done properly.

you can get around the TCM torque management for the most part in the ECM, just FYI. :-)

I am sure, but there IS speed/ET to be gained in the TCM. This has also been quantified at the track.

That along with shift rpm changes and shift time reduction. I wouldn't be able to stand the stock TCM shift timing after driving mine tuned.
