Question? Will new/used tires on rear create issues?
Had to replace rear tire on ZO6 due to nail too close to edge. Other tire has worn tread depth 3/64 less than new tire ( 3/16 smaller diameter). Will this cause handling issues during hard excelleration?

It could.
Can you feel a difference?
Tire age/ rubber hardening may also be considered.
I am making up the wear numbers here, yet for all wheel sports cars like WRX & STI,
I recall the OEM recommends changing tire is the wear difference is 3/32 between tires.
You can search the net for actual wear numbers.
Personally I do like to replace in axle sets if any concerns.
Good luck.
Flat tires and Vette rear tire prices suck!

As you suggested, 3/32 difference in thread depth was thought to be too much on two wheel drive. Four wheel drive is for less tolerant of thread depth variations and that 3/63 would require tire replacement.
