No it is not. And you don't just pour oil into a compressor like you would engine oil. It has to go in when you pressurize it with refrigerant or while its under a vacuum before the refrigerant goes in. You probably need to take it to a professional to get your AC working.
Is it diffrent from other cars? On other cars you can fill it with the right amount of oil and then buy a diy kit to fill gas.
It is the same as all modern cars. You never add oil directly to the compressor. It is suspended in the refrigerant. I highly recommend taking it to a professional. It needs to be installed in the car, pressure checked, and then "sucked down" with a vacuum pump to remove any moisture and contaminants, all before adding the refrigerant.
You can do it yourself and use a DYI kit. A/C might work for a little while but will likely fail down the road. The proper way to do it is to vacuum all of the air out so that there are no contaminates in the system. While its tempting to go the cheap route and do it yourself, you will pay more in the long run when you have to pay to have it redone and replace parts that were damaged by doing it wrong the first time.
It's not a good idea to pour oil directly into the compressor all at once. The compressor has pistons inside of it to "compress" the refrigerant. If you fill it with oil and then start the car, you risk having it full of non compressible oil which will then destroy the compressor itself.
Good luck either way.
