What would be your ultimate C7 track car build?
I hate to create two threads but I wanted to get some input from the folks that hang out over here and might not check the Autocrossing & Road Racing section.

Burning Brakes
Stock GS with the Z07 package with manual transmission. That's it. Maybe 100HP upgrade would be great.

Very interesting to read that GS is the preferred choice over Z06 and ZR1

The GS has a better weight bias. With no supercharger and plumbing it actually has a slight rear bias. The advantage of a Z06 is HP. A GS with a NA 427 solves many heat issues generated from a FI on the track, while keeping a car that has better balance. As I don’t believe the chassis can put much more than 550 down, a NA beast at 550 to 600 would Ultimate level of power with the best blend of weight bias. Take away timing being pulled at a hot CA track with FI and you have a car that handles amazing at the limit without pulling **** tons of power by lap two on a 100 degree day.

Jordan Priestley of JDP Motorsports has an awesome track built GS. Quote from his thread:
"We appreciate the interest everyone! We've been slammed in the shop and I haven't had a lot of time to dedicate to the forums. The car has evolved into a 655 WHP NA monster by way of a 440ci 13.5:1 LT1 and we've got A LOT of updates for the build thread. We took 2nd in the Optima Ultimate Street Car GTS National Championship and we tied for 2nd in GTS and 5th overall at the OUSCI following the SEMA show."
