dbaker,
Did you find that the BMS filter had any significant or noticeable performance gains? ...or any improved responsiveness or improved drivability quality?
Please describe your BMS air filter experience on your LT1.
I know this post is a bit dated. Thought I would add a couple of ideas from my 2 trips to Spring Mountain in 2018. 1st time driving a GS and 2nd in a Stingray. I believe the elevation to be around 2600 feet there and also they are using 91 octane fuel in these cars. This produced a noticeable loss of hp compared to my stock GS and my wife’s Stingray at 700 feet of elevation and 93 octane fuel. Good times for sure though!
You are absolutely correct as the elevation alone would kill 7% power and I have access to 94 fuel always so that would be the difference
GM does not publish any CAI gains below 10 hp as per the developing engineer at the PRI show in Dec 2018 .There is definitely a gain from the 30% restriction reduction according to him and there numbers are ultra conservative as well.
