I have a 2017 ZO6 with the basic carbon flash 3/4 side skirts which I am trying to remove and then replace with carbon fiber units. My question concerns removing the fasteners attaching the factory side skirts. Does anyone have any advice on how to remove them? They appear to have torx style heads but will not screw out. Are they actually rivets that need to be drilled out? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
The material is very soft and will drill out very easily with a drill bit (the size of the head or a bit larger). Just go slow since the material will come off quickly. Drilling didn't make any marks in my 3/4 removal.
Hey guys, I’m trying to do the same thing. Wondering if when you drill out the rivets, do the rivet tubes get loose in the car? I’m worried they will rattle around. Thanks!
