Default Please help with cam choice

2016 Stingray. I've done Kooks long tube headers w/× pipe. Halltech CAI and Borla s Type axle back. Car is getting a cam and DSX flex fuel conversion. It will be mostly driven on the street with a trip or 2 to the track. I want a good street mannered cam, which makes power across the rpm band. Please recommend some cam spec's, or manufacturer's. Thank you.

Default Cam

Katech torquer cam, Lingenfelter gt35, cam motion has a bunch of cams or they can spec you one. You can also call Cordes or MTI and they can spec you one. BTR also has some good cams and Texas Speed

I did everything you did plus. I went with the BTR Cam. One of the best. Can't go wrong. I've heard bad things about Texas Speed.

I would do the TSP cam. I just went through the cam install on my 15 Stingray. Did a BTR stage 2 with phaser lockout. Lost 40 ftlb of torque acorss the board and gained only 20 whp from 5500-6500. Totally not worth the effort. I also would not do the phaser lockout unless you are really trying to run a huge cam and make big power up top.

Did the person that did the install know what he was doing on the BTR II cam no way you would lose HP on this cam. You have big time installer problems or tuner problems are both here buddy.. Robert

Hah, yes. Been around the block a few times and have built several 1000+ hp LS engines.

That's strange. I increased over 20HP after my BTR Cam install and re-tune.

Our LT2.5 cam is a great all around cam for the LT platform. It is a great balance between power and drivability. Works well with stock converters. Monday i will be uploading a video of multiple cars running it on our YouTube. I will link it here tomorrow.

After much consideration, I decided on FI.. I ordered the A@A kit tonight. I like the torque the stock cam puts out. Thanks for all responses.

Tuning an LS engine is no where near like tuning an LT. Not even close. IF it was tuned in the same technique as an LS, there is a lot of power left on the table.

My cam selection. LT4 fuel components and DSX low side. Staying around 9psi boost. I'm thinking right around 640-660rwhp. Any guesses?
