I cant seem to find a write up on this, I blew my front main seal. Im sure from crankcase pressure. I ordered a LS3 replacement and a ARP crank bolt. Im going to start digging into it tonight. I was hoping someone has done this already and had any pointers.
Super excited about this chit. My A&A equipped 11lb boost Z51 pooped the seal as well. Went to move the car and nothing but a big puddle. Degreased it, took it for a shakedown, come home and bam oil all over the place again. Going to degrease and start the repair. Funny thing is I already have a LS3 seal. When I had my Camaro blown I gave the shop a seal and they didn't install. Lets hope I don't have to do the same thing on that damn car as well. Once dampener is off, is the seal pretty damn straight forward or any tricks you can advise?

What eventually fixed this crankcase pressure build up issue for you? Breather?

Long story short, blown motor. 5 pistons damaged. Here is the super duper crazy thing, lol. Car ran fine. I never expected it. I think my first seal blowing out was partly because I had no catch can. Once I replaced the seal and put a CC on it was to late. I had a very costly learning experience. No regrets though. My thoughts on any LT1 FI build is that a LS3 front seal and a catch can should be automatic. Cheap insurance and proven to be helpful.
