Default Track Thur. Will these alignment specs be good ?

So I took my car to dealer for a week. One of things I explicitly told the manager and the mechanic working on my car was the DSC alignment specs I needed. I printed them out. Emailed them. Mentioned the rear castor Atleast 5 times. Asked about the tool etc. picked up car at 8 pm tonight and this is what I got. Doesn’t even show rear castor. 🤷‍♂️ Toe settings aren’t adjusted properly at all. Damn. Wtf ?

looks like they Atleast adjusted camber

track day after tomorrow. So I need to get this reset ?

Here is the printout I gave them. Really pisses me off. 😠

I think your original alignment looks a bit better to be honest. Looks like complete waste of time and money. I used to use Firestone lifetime alignment ($159), and would then sit next to the technicians as they work on the car and tell them I need exact numbers, and explain them what they need to do if they get stuck, and finally give them some tip. These days, I just use a race shop, and the tech there knows he needs to hit the exact numbers; no need for explanation and/or babysitting on my end. He charges $200 for one alignment (with factory eccentrics), but I digress.

I don't see any point in having any of the cambers less than -2. Even GM's own track prep guide recommends us to set it to -2 all around. As long as you're low on (magnitude of) toe, the tires would not wear down too fast anyway, so you can also leave it at the street.

I'd recommend -2 / 7.5 / -0.05 front, and -2 / 0.0 / +0.05 rear, which would be a great balance between handling and tire life. If it were me, I'd further dial up the front camber to as much as it can go (-3.2 in my case). The rear doesn't seem to benefit much beyond -2 camber.

Well I feel dumb. Didn’t realize the toe was in degrees and I spoke to mechanic who actually worked on it and he did adjust rear castor to .7. So it is within the DSC track/street settings. 👍

complaint is my front wheels are too small for the 305 tires. Have 11 inch wheels coming next week.

overall good for my first trip to the track in my new Z. New PB at laguna. 1:43 and a bunch of 1:44. Last year my PB was a high 1:45 on my blown Supervette with full suspension. First year tracking.

I am also really pleased with these stop tech track day pads. Not noisy at all and greatly outperform stock pads. Modulation feel could be better.
