Does anyone know if the front curb cameras that come with the 2LT package on 2019 model Grand Sport can be added to a 1LT package that doesn't come with the them?
From what I've read, doing a retro on a 1LT to add oem cameras is not possible. When the 2014 &15 came out, they did not have front cameras and you had to go aftermarket. I added a front camera and iPhone streaming to the NAV screen by installing the Navtool. I know it is still offered and there are a couple of other systems (wireless) offered that use a screen you hide in the cubby behind the NAV screen. Search the "General" forum for information.

Where are you? What country? Because it’s still available in the USA
I am in Jacksonville Florida, USA I simply pointed out that they used to be sponsors on this site. Their customer interactions got them removed from this site.

You are free to purchase any product from any vendor. The product you linked to seems interesting. I can only give information on something that I am familiar with or have used.
Good luck on your search for the front camera for the car, it really needs a front camera! That low nose just bumps into most everything!
So you install this controller connected to your existing factory head unit in dash which gives you an additional video input to plug in a front camera?
Man get the NAV TOOL 3.0 are what ever the latest set up is. It works great & all hooks up easy with the hardest thing is getting the one wire from the unit from the kick panel on the pass/ side to the drivers side that goes like behind the radio unit. Yes it will run front camera and the side camera on each side also.. I put this in my 2014 one of the first also to get one it has worked painless these few years.
All you have to do is push the one button on your screen panel under the radio & it will come on... Robert

Yes. This unit plugs into the HMI module which is located on the drivers side kick panel (no need to remove any trim pieces to access it.) When you activate the added front camera, the video signal is displayed on the factory head head unit, just like the rear camera does.

Can only have one additional camera input. Added camera is activated by a switch. I installed a simple rocker switch in the HUD control panel to the left of the steering wheel. Looks factory.
Read this very long and informative thread about navtool. It pretty much outlines the good and bad of navtool.........

After reading that thread I chose to go with Nav-tv instead of navtool.
Well, I'm the geezer and I respect your choice. I've had the navtool for a few years and it works flawlessly. I have not seen one person come back on here and say their Navtool has failed and they are back to square one for a front camera. I cannot comment on other products as I haven't been involved with them. If my Navtool dies, I'll buy another to replace it. I use what works for me. I wish you well on your choice.
