Overflow tank cap
While under the hood I noticed that the coolant level in the plastic radiator overflow tank is a little low. I went to remove the cap to refill and it doesn't budge. Has anybody experienced this and/or have suggestions?

Not sure what year or model your vehicle is - No issue with our 2016 Z51 - It's technically a surge tank (since it's part of cooling system & is pressurized) as opposed to an overflow bottle. It is on the passenger side near the firewall & has a cap that states 20 psi that rotates counterclockwise to remove it.

Mine has always been quite stiff. Also takes numerous turns to unscrew and remove.

It will come off. I have a set of nylon lined, non-mar, channel lock plyers I use for situations like this. You can also use a shop towel or rag with a standard channel lock plyer. if you do scratch up the cap, you can always buy another from your friendly GM dealership.
