My 2015 has an unusual problem. If the car sits overnight it will not unlock itself as you approach the vehicle. The touchpad just doesn’t unlock. If I manually unlock it from the key fob it does unlock. Both key fobs react the same way. The odd thing is it will function properly the rest of the day. Next morning it’s back to the same ol problem
Mine did this exact thing as well. I changed the battery in my fob and it no longer does it. Doesn't really make sense why since the fob seems to work fine manually unlocking but it worked for me.
Yeah with both doing that it might end up being something else, but worth a try for the 3-4 dollars the CR2032 battery's cost. No, my fob did not require reprogramming after swapping the battery.
The car battery could be going bad / weak if it is the original. This would explain why something doesn't work after the car sits overnight, but does work throughout the day.
Also - check voltage on the fob batteries. You can buy old stock and get bad ones. Fob batteries seem to last about 3 years once installed - does not matter if your primary fob or spare.
There is no programming in the fobs. The car is taught to recognize them. Changing the fob battery does not require any reprogramming.
