Default Need tech help

Hello,

My 2015 C7 Stingray was blowing hot air only out of the vents so i took it to a local repair shop for diagnostics. They said they attempted to perform a software upgrade but it failed. They claimed I needed a new air conditioning control module and when they returned the car to me none of the climate controls were working and no air was blowing out at all.

I bought a new air conditioning control module and installed it but the lights still stay off and I can’t do any climate controls. The LCD screen and radio/media controls are working fine. We checked all the fuses and don’t see any bad fuses either.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you

Could it need a recharge?

Here is where the LP port is:

I ruled that out because I didn’t think that a recharge would make the entire air conditioning controls unusable.

Were the hvac controls functional before you took it to the shop but just blowing warm air? If so, they may have bricked the module and the new one might need to be programmed or something. But I don't know if there is anything special the module would need to be activated. And then you may still have a separate AC issue.

Default HVAC Module Replacement

From the 2015 Service Manual, when the HVAC control module is replaced, it needs to be recalibrated, with or without a scan tool.

The procedure without a scan tool:

Clear all DTCs

Ignition OFF

Install/connect the module

Connect all previously disconnected components

Remove the HVAC module fuse for a minimum of 10 seconds

Install the fuse

Start the vehicle

Wait 40 seconds for the HVAC control module to self- calibrate

Do not adjust any HVAC controls during this self-calibration process
