Guys run at the track w/o TPS in the wheels. I don't think you'll start limping.
At the drag strip last night lowered tire pressure to 18 psi - M/T Street Radial - the car wouldn't rev above 5000.
There are sensors in the wheels.
I don't want to remove the sensors if they are the problem if I can disable them thru the computer. I use EFI Live.
^^^I don't think low pressure can cause limp mode. I just had a nail in a tire, and all I got was the low pressure warning.
Maybe not 'limp mode' but 'rev limiting' and/or 'torque limiting' mode.
It happened on 2 passes on the drag strip at WOT.
Car revved to 5k and shifted gears at less than full power.
Normally shifts around 6500 at WOT.
They connect to the BCM and EBCM not the ECM. If a low tire pressure warning is received the EBCM will adjust the stability control system to account for change in handling due to the low pressure.
