I don't drive my 2015 Z06 enough and the battery went dead so after 4.5 years I felt it was time for a change. Bought the X2Power AGM and made the change myself. Did not hook up any trickle charge while making the change and followed Forum online instructions. Problem now is the dash and starter electrical system are not coming on. The green light appears on the starter switch but I can't get anything else to work including the car door locks. Do I need a computer reboot by the dealer, the A8 trans is locked in gear so I don't know how you tow this for repair!
Check your connections. Make sure the connections are exactly as you took them off. Any misalignment might be cause for a voltage issue. Also, verify that you didn't blow the 350 amp fuse back at the battery.
I did have a spark while tightening the ground cable and the wrench contacted the middle positive bolt on the plastic fuse panel holding all the wires. Are there inline fuses and where do I look?

There is a 350 A fuse in the piece on top of the battery that doesn't like to have the + post grounded out. I'd start right there.
It sits right on the end of the big red positive cable. You can see it in post 3's picture.

Yikes....most likely blown fuse in the 300 amp block on top of the positive battery post.
Hi guys, thanks for all your input. I had the 350 fuse block checked by a mechanic and he told me it was still sending power thru it. Bought a new battery fuse block anyway and after checking all the inline fuses, I reassembled everything and prepared myself for a tow to the dealer. Guess what, either the new fuse block or a loose wire fixed the issue. My guess is the fuse block was damaged but not a total loss.
