I have a z06 with a halltech cai, zr1 tb, maggy 2300, 1 7/8" headers, and off road 3" xpipe. I just added the cai and tb. The car keeps going into limp mode. Code being shown is tb home not learned or something like that. Any ideas?
I tuned my 2016 Z06 with ported blower, 2.3 pulley, afe cai, tony mamo tb, long tubes and off road x. I then took off the tony mamo and installed the zr1 95mm tb and the car runs great! I'm not sure why your tb has to be completely relearned. There's a procedure for it, so I would just have your tuner get it lined out. Good luck...
Its not ported. My guy is still trying to fix it. If he don't get it soon I may just take the car to get tuned by someone else. Where are you located? I see Baton Rouge.

I don't know whats going on. It ticks 5 times before it starts, and some times the car kills right after start up. Then it doesn't want to start right away.

Yup. I do tuning on the side just north of Baton Rouge

You've confirmed with your stock throttle body that the car starts and runs just fine?
Have you disconnected the battery overnight and then gone through the relearn process with the ZR1 TB installed?
It was disconnected, and supposedly did the relearn process. I'll confirm that tomorrow. I would hate to have to remove it. It feels like the car is much faster when its not throwing a code.
Are you email tuning? If so and if your are using HP Tuners, go into the special functions in the VCM Scanner and perform throttle relearn process.
No, I have a guy here locally that builds allot of high hp LS stuff, but is still getting experience with the lt tuning. He did my grandsport maggy and full exhaust upgrade perfect, then did the maggy full exhaust on my z05, tune was good. I think he's having trouble getting information for te zr1 tb. Span and all that.
Decided just to remove the zr1 tb and reinstall my stock tb. Car is making more boost for some reason. Feels so much better.
I'll have to head to Nola to pick up some parts next week it you'd like to try a different tb just in case you got a dud. Really shouldn't need much cleanup for a 95 honestly

I have the LT5 95mm TB on my E force Super charged Z51 and it makes 1 lb. more boost then the original 87mm TB. My car required a tune adjustment because I picked up consistent KR with the added boost.
PD supercharged cars benefit much more from the larger TB then NA cars or cars running centrifugal Superchargers.

Mine picked up a little more as well with the ZR1 tb, but my blower is ported. They do say that if your blower is not ported, don't waste your money on the 95mm tb. It works best with a ported/pulley blower setup. JR

Those 5 ticks, sound like the TB is going directly into ice break mode. When you start, the TB closes off quickly to find (relearn) minimum closing position, if it binds or there is too much friction (slow moving blade) the EMC will interpret that as ice and it will try to break it off by closing hard a few consecutive times (the ticks) if on the last time it still feels like binding or too slow, it will throw a code and likely not to allow starting or normal driving.
