Default Code reader for ABS bleed device?

Does anyone know a good code reader that will activate the ABS pump during brake bleeds?
I checked out the Autel products and called them and they can't definitively tell me if any of their products will work on my 2015 Z51.

Also, when using these devices, is the ABS pump continually running while you are bleeding (seems like it's not made for that kind of continuous use), or do you just run it a few seconds at a time before bleeding each caliper?

I have a C5 and I used a Snap-On device that my friend has (shop owner - it's a $5k tool)

It does a step by step through each wheel and cycles the pump for maybe 5 seconds each time.

It said to put a pressure bleeder on the MC - and then it cycles the pump 2 times at each wheel. I assume it knows which valves to open/close within the ABS pump.

They aren't cheap since you need a tool that can issue commands to the car and those are all going to be high end models that cost anywhere from $400 on up for just the software or software plus tool to run it on.

Do you currently have air in the ABS module? If not then don't worry about doing an ABS Automated bleed. If you do then take the car out and drive it some place where there is loose grip and nail the brakes to get the system to go into ABS mode to prevent the wheels from locking up. Do that a couple of times and then go back to your shop and do a normal brake bleed. You may find the air is out of the module. Running the ABS by applying the brakes may let the air pass by the valve that captured it.

The Mongoose pro GM2 is around 500 and it uses the GM software which you have to buy a subscription for. I did almost all the work on my 15 and for me it was money well spent. It doesn't take long to spend 500 at a dealership and not have anything to show for it.
I purchased mine for the same reason. I had installed AP racing brakes on my car and one of the nuts on one of the lines had to have the threads chased. By the time I got that done there was air in the abs circuit. If you do get the tool you should be able to figure out how to do the bleed. It will time out. When it does just start it again until they're all bled. Good luck.
