In another thread, some bantering took place between 2 members about the Soler TB. The comment that I remember was, "not one person that purchased the Soler TB has made a negative comment about it". That's what convinced me to give it a try, and I'm very impressed with the upgrade in throttle response. Even though my GS is an A8, I could feel an immediate difference. So much smoother off idle. I put about 100 miles on it then installed the TC. For $75 bucks how can you go wrong? Now my car drives like I imagined a GS should. I highly recommend getting both products.

Fred
Yes I pulled off the side trim and center console. I was familiar with all this from changing to the MGW shifter.

Thanks,
Mike, I am about to install an AFE CAI. I have both the vendor oiled filter and the vendor dry filter.

Previous to the Soler TB installation, I had installed an Attack Blue Air Filter in the stock CAI. No codes thrown with it, or once the Soler TB was installed.

Now that I have several hundred miles on the TB, I'm ready to install the AFE CAI. Plans are to run the dry filter only. Since the Attack Blue provided so much better airflow than the factory filter, and no codes were thrown in conjunction with the Soler TB, I'm hoping that the AFE CAI does not throw a code as well. Your thoughts on this?

On my 2019Z I installed the Soler MTB around 500 miles on the odo. No issues. Then installed the aFe with the dry grey filter about 1000 miles later. Zero codes and zero issues with about 1500 miles driven. I now have an LT5 Soler MTB on the car (still have the aFe with gray filter), and still do not have any issues.

My experience tells me you will not have any issues.

Enjoy!

Here's where I put mine. The usb block pops out and I took a drill and cut a small groove for the wire to lay in. If I remove the TC the bezel on the Usb block should cover the hole. I meant to post a pic last month but didn't get around to it.

I have both the TB and TC and am more than pleased. Totally different car from stock. Question I have is this - having A8 triple flush done at dealer under warranty (no Shudder issue, doing as precaution). Should I remove TC completely or just set to normal mode? The TC is hidden behind carpet so I doubt they will see it. Last time I was in for my last free oil change I removed my Range and even put the fuse back in for my exhaust. Thoughts?

If the display is visible, I would just unplug the display and remove it. I wouldn't worry about it otherwise.

Can you just unplug the display? If you do does it default to stock setting?

The TC display has a small phone charger style plug on the right side. Simply pull it out. Reprogramming the display takes about 10 seconds.

Many customers with similar setups, no problems. What you may find as you keep adding air is that at some point you will need to tune. Thanks.

Thanks, DSPC7. Yes, set it to normal/stock mode and hide the display and extension. If you disconnect the display it will go limp.

Is it fairly easy to route the cable into the arm rest console area? I am trying to find step by step instructions and hoping to not have to drill to get that display in the console somehow.

It's it's not bad if you remove the trim on the side of the tunnel. You have to start at the back and pop the clips out and the very front clip slides out. If you try to start it at the front you will break the end off of the piece of trim. You will probably have to pop the bezel that goes around the shifter and cupholders up at the back. To do that you have to remove the cover on the console but there are only three screws that hold that. It's a leather cover that opens and closes.

I have been searching the forum for answers to my 2014 z51 M7 throttle response bleep or whatever you call it going from 1st to 2nd that drives me crazy!! With several posts pointing to putting on a Ported Throttle Body - which states it will help negate that issue. Then trying to find the right PTB to purchase...when I stumbled on Mike's PTB and Throttle Control thread. Got me interested so I went to there site to check prices. Come to find out there shop is just down the road from me?? Hopefully going to swing by the shop and check them out!!

Mike - I have a Mamo PTB and a Pedal Commander TC. No complaints on either, and I love the combination and the new driving thrill these two parts give me.

in reading your posts, your website technical details, and other Forum member thoughts, I’m considering trying your PTB and TC setup. Have you tested your combination setup against the set I currently have? If so, what are the improvements I could expect to see?

Also, is there an advantage to one of your new PTB, versus an reconditioned one?
