Trouble shoot weak brakes
I am a newbie on the forum so take it easy on me
I just bought a new to me 2017grandsport about 1 week ago
I took it to the track and the car performed amazingly
I did notice toward the end of my day that the brakes seemed to be lacking the same bite at the start of the day
It now brakes like a standard car, not the stop on a dime insane braking I was enjoying
Can you help me trouble shoot this, did I boil my brake fluid?
I am not super mechanical but am interested in learning as much as I can
This car was just certified by my Chevy dealer, cant imagine its pads are shot already, the track day was a 4 hour day, on and off again

Weak brakes with soft pedal is brake fluid. Weak brakes with hard pedal is brake pads. Stock pads on a non-Z07 car aren't really made for track work.

If the fluid got too hot it can gel up. May need Wilwood 600 or some other similar high heat fluid if that's the case.

As mentioned above, stock fluid and brake pads are not suitable for track use (non Z07). For next track day, replace the brake fluid with DOT4 and replace the brake pads with track-rated pads. Also, the engine oil need to be either 15W-50 or 0W-40 dexos2. There is a Corvette track preparation sheet available online. Also, you need to replace the diff fluid after your first track event.

Sounds like the pads glazed over to me. The stock pads can't handle a full track day. I run Raybestos ST43s pads on my Z51. Also you should change the brake fluid as well, the stock fluid can (and will) boil leading to a soft pedal which on track is beyond scary (and super dangerous of course). I run Motul RBF660 fluid.

Drifting
Even with everything in perfect running order, when tracking your Corvette expect brake rotors, pads and fluid as well as lubricants and tires to require frequent replacement. Just the cost of doing business.
