Default Possible coolant leak

I’ve noticed small puddles the last 2 days. On the front right side, behind the wheel. My guess is coolant. Because it doesn’t seem likes it’s oil. The shock is not leaking. And there’s no holes or cracks on the undercarriage. But my coolant level isn’t low either.

Anyone experience this before?

Thx

It's probably condensate from the air conditioner evaporator.

I haven’t ran the ac in about 2 wks. But I did run the heater this morning. And I heard a rattle for a little bit. But it went away.

It seems the fluid might’ve been reddish. And it possible had a sweet scent. But it could've been in my head. I’ll have to check tomorrow if it drips again.

If you ran the heater, was it in defrost mode? If so, the defrost mode will usually turn on the AC and mix with warm air to clear the windshield. Dip your index finger in the discharge and rub your index and thumb together. If it feels kind of slick and smells sweet, it's coolant. If it's AC condensation, you know what water rubbed together feels like.

The car didn’t drip overnight. Until I turned the heater on. (Not in defrost mode.)

I was running late this morning. So I didn’t get a chance to check the puddle. But I’ll do it after work.

It might be coolant. Because when I checked yesterday. It did feel somewhat oily and it smelled sweet.

Should I take the car to Chevy?

reddish would indicate coolant. It will feel oily as well. You probably should take it in.

If there's a leak in the heater core, then yes running the heater would lose some coolant. With defrost mode, there would have to be a lot of moisture in the air to produce any appreciable drip like that. A quick test of the fluid on white paper towel will reveal some color to the water confirming the coolant (along with oily slick + sweet smell as other identifiers)
