Anyone know if a set of base 18 and 19 inch C6 wheel will fit on a 2019 base C7 that came from the factory with 19 and 20 inch wheels?
The reason I ask is, I see fitment charts that indicate they will fit, up to 2017. But will they fit a 2019 (and yes, I realize I'll have to buy new tires).
All C7 years are the same. Earlier on the base wheels were 18/19 but later they got upgraded to the Z51 19/20 sizes. Either size works as the sidewall ratio is just smaller to keep the overall tire diameter the same.

Do you know if anything changed behind the wheels, like maybe the calipers, that would prevent the smaller wheels from fitting the newer C7s?
Since you asked for a comparison in your original post for C6 vs. C7, I'd suggest you get the wheel specs--including backspacing--for both, the C6 base @ the C6 forum, and compare with the C7 base specs here.
The Base C6 wheels will not fit on a C7. I tried it on my 2018 base coupe. The calipers on the C7 are 4 piston calipers and are much bigger than the C6 so the spokes of the wheels hit the caliper. Actually, I only tried the front. Did not bother trying the rear since the front did not work.

Wheel specs for the base C6 are the same as the early base C7. That will not tell you the wheels work. There is no wheel spec that defines how quickly the spokes move away from the center hub of the wheel. The C6 wheels have spokes that gradually move out from the hub as they go towards the rim of the wheel. All C7 wheels have spokes that quickly jut out away from the hub to clear the calipers.

You can use smaller wheels on the base C7. I put 18x8.5" front and 19x10 inch rear wheels on my 2018 base coupe and there is at least a half inch clearance from the rim to the calipers. You just can't use C6 wheels. You need early model base C7 wheels or as I did, get aftermarket wheels. I bought American Racing AR924 wheels. They are not very expensive, are lighter than stock wheels and are flow formed for more strength than the stock wheels. Plus I think they look awesome!

Yep interference with the calipers is the worry. You could run spacers but some people frown upon that solution.
There are a few threads around here of people running certain C6 wheels on C7s. For example: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...on-c7-z51.html
However my guess is most C6 wheels will NOT work despite having similar offsets.
