Having shift bumps, Called my tune up guy, (I live in Florida by the way) he said that Chevvy is doing a type of re-call on this being Tranny fluid having condensation from humidity.
Apparently they have tried several Fluids and have come up with one that works, however he needs the car in for two weeks to go through the system, so hey being annul about who works on my car let alone who has control of it for two whole weeks, simply I could not sleep at night, so I have been looking at a forum about Just this and they are recommending Red Line D6...they are also talking about Amsoil, now I use Amsoil for oil changes, as I've researched and this is the best oil out there, so I have two questions is there an Amsoil transmission oil to the equivalent or better of Redline D6? Secondly as someone who prefers to work on his own Vet when possible but unfortunately never having done a Transmission change, is it possible for me to change my own Tranny oil please?
Yes, you can do the "double" flush yourself. The newest fluid is the Mobil-1 blue label. Here is a thread on how to do it. You need about 12 quarts to do it twice. The fluid in the thread is the old black label stuff, so make sure you get the right stuff.
