I had a similar issue when I installed my afe cai, turned out there was a tiny particle stuck on the mass air flow sensor. Buy some maf sensor cleaner at most auto parts stores, pull the maf sensor out and spray it down good but do not use a brush or anything to wipe it off it is very sensitive. May not be the problem, but it's a cheap simple place to start
Not positive but maybe it needs to be driven and “learn” with the new airflow.....just like everyone running new throttle bodies like Soler and Mamo
keep us updated
i swapped to an AFE CAI but never noticed any idle issues
That’s what I was thinking I just went for a drive around for 20 mins... at first (A8) the gear changes were awful, but it sorted itself out after 10 mins. By the end of the journey they were ok.
i spent some time in manual mode going up and down the gears.
i noticed when coasting at say 45, it doesn’t lose speed as quickly as it used to... odd? Is that normal? And sometimes when coasting at 35, it maintained the speed... also at low speeds around 15mph, it just didn’t slow down!?!?!?
i also pulled over and gave a few gentle revs to 3000 and it stuck there and didn’t drop so had to turn the car off again.
im not sure I’ll keep it in.... I was perfectly happy with the GM Performance one, I just thought this would be better. So far it’s not.
I concur, the filter is not much of a factor when idling or at low throttle, clean MAF sensor, check all joints for leaks/tightness, check electrical connections, reset ECM. When hot; does the idling problem persist?
Look in your owner's manual for the ECM fuse location and pull it for a while, that way you won't lose any other settings.
ah hey Mike!!
I took the filter out again after my drive last night and put it back in this morning. Drove the car to work today as it’s nice weather, and no issues today...
but as you know I have tour throttle body sitting at home now so I’ll have to disconnect the battery this weekend anyway!!
Yes, there is one in the rear too. The front one is easier to access. Looks to me that in the 2019's either 55 or 78 will do. The figure above is pointing to 78.
The K's are for relays, don't pull those.

I need to disconnect the battery to put in your throttle body right.... so I may as well disconnect it tonight, leave it off Friday and swap the TB on Saturday ... I think!
Right, the only reason we recommended the fuse is b/c we saw your concern about having to redo some settings, which are easy to restore. You'll achieve the same result whichever way you go. Thx.
Honestly, that sounds like an air leak in the plumbing and it's screwing around with the MAF readings. If it in fact is an ECM adjustment to the new filter, that must be some special filter!
