Do you want something inside the wheel itself, or inside the steering column?

The cluster and radio controls should get you what you need.

the diagram does not look like its for a c7 zo6... at least not mine. I am trying to connect a carbon fiber performance steering wheel with the LED at the 12 o'clock... but cant figure out which hot wire to use. The wire at position 1 is from the battery with 12volts. The problem is... it stays hot even when the car is off. would anyone know how to properly wire this? Any help would be greatly appreciated....

thanks for the reply! I probed all wires as well... and there are 3 that put out 12 to 14v. after i turn off the car... they remain hot. I'm kinda at a loss here. I reached out to carbon steer and waiting for them to reply... didn't know it was gonna be this difficult... should be pretty much plug and play...

Hi yes in the menu of the steering wheel you can turn off LEDs,who did you buy it from ? Let me no how you make out and when your checking for 12v make sure you have the door open as I thing it retains power until you open door if I’m not mistaken

Hello. Did you ever get this solved. I have a similar problem. Installed mine according to the wiring video here:
about 9 minutes in shows the wiring. I have had it installed this way for about a year. Problem is that it intermittently powers on and off when the car is off, leaching from the battery. If I plug in the battery tender, it interrupts the display on the steering wheel, and the next time it comes on, all the wheel display will do is power cycle. The only way to reset the wheel after that is to disconnect the battery, and reset ALL the cars programs. So with how it’s currently installed it either drains the battery, or it resets and just power cycles after being hooked to the tender. Mine is a carbon steer like yours. The one in the YouTube video is a different brand, and maybe that’s where the mistake is at (maybe different wiring).Any help on exactly which hot/ground you spliced to on the harness would be a GREAT HELP! The next time I pull the wheel I want to get it right. Really don’t like pulling my battery leads everytime I want the wheel to work again after being on the tender. I have also emailed carbon steer and told them I CANNOT BELIEVE a $2k steering wheel did not come with wiring instructions! TIA

Has anyone confirmed this issue or non-issue? Thinking about getting one of these but dont want to install a headache, either.
