Default MAP Sensor plastic lock

Happy new year to all, today I installed the Holley cold air intake in my 2014 C7. When I unlocked the MAP sensor the little red lock fell off. It did not break but I just can’t seem to get it back in. Any suggestions?Thank you
Chuck

The locks on these connectors flat out suck! I've broken quite a few of them regardless of how gentle I was with them and in most cases I just leave them off if the connector will still clip in to the sensor and stay put which it should.

Thank you, I found the clip is broken I don’t know if it can be replaced but I’m going to go to Chevy tomorrow and see if it’s possible. if not I guess it’ll just have to stay that way.Thank you again

I believe just wrapping from one side of the connector to other side with electrical tape will keep it from separating.

Use a small tie wrap as a fail safe although the connector itself kind of locks together without the red piece. Mine fell out when installing filter a long time ago and the tie wrap plus the natural snap in of the connector has been going strong for at least two years.
