What is this?
Under the left fender on top of the wheelhouse above the fender liner, is a round silver unit about 2.5 inches in diameter attached to an aluminum bracket attached to the wheelhouse. Can anyone tell me what it is and what it does. I’ll try and get a picture tomorrow if no one knows right off.
Thanks for you help

Vacuum pump. Makes vacuum when your engine doesn't.

The unit does not have a vacuum hose on it. There is only an electrical wire going to it.
still looking for ideas.

I’ll get a picture tomorrow. It is under the fender not in the engine bay. You don’t see it unless you have the fender off.

As mentioned its a vacuum assist pump for the brakes, it does not have a rubber hose its connected to the brake booster.

Based on your description and the location, it is the satellite radio antenna.
