I'm now a member of the C7 crowd and am looking to optimize the car with some lovely mods. I recently purchased some TSP long tubes and an X pipe from a forum member here and am thinking of pulling the proverbial trigger on a Vortec v3 kit or an ECS 2200 S/C kit. I'm looking to get mid 600's at the wheels after tune. I'm looking at internal mods for the motor for reliability in the long(ish) term before I eventually do the bottom end. Is anyone putting stronger valves/springs/rods in their stock motors? Is there a need to?
Consider the changes manufacturers make in going from NA to boosted (the C7 offers a good example). They don't make all those expensive changes for no reason. All the best no matter how you eventually go.

I'd stay south of 650 until you're ready to do the bottom end. We haven't had any let loose but it's happened to a more then a few at that power level (tuning?). The A&A and ECS kits are a great platform to work off of. With a set of headers you can easily get to 600rwhp. If you would like to add a little power on top of that safely....A meth kit is a good idea. It'll allow you to run a bit more timing and it won't tax your fuel system either. When you're ready for a kit hit us up. We'll make sure you get the best price.
I plan on getting a ported throttle body and I take. I'm not going with a PD supercharger. I plan of some forged pistons and possibly a rotating assembly in the winter/fall. There will be a Alky Meth single nozzle involved in this for some assurance. I appreciate the advice!
