I have a 19 Stingray M7 non-Z51 that I want to upgrade the stock throttle body. Heard really good things about Soler. I see I have a choice between 87mm and 95mm in diameter. Will I notice a significance difference between the two sizes? Will I even notice a significant difference with Soler compared to stock? Anyone have any insight on this? Appreciate any comments. Thanks!
You'll want the one specifically designed for your car: SE8223-040, 87 MM (91 MM EFF.) FOR CARS 6.2L NA (LT1) MANUAL, AND TRUCKS/SUV 6.2L NA (L86/L87) AUTOMATIC
The Soler TB seems to be one of the best TB to address off-idle hesitation. I believe Mike claims mild increased power at lower levels as well. I bought his TB to address drivability issues off idle and it solved my issues entirely. Don't know if anyone has dyno'd his TB!!
Have both the Soler TB and controller on my 15 z51 M7, very happy with the results. Feels much more responsive. Much better driving experience with the M7
Mike I received the throttle body today that you shipped for my Stingray. Thanks for the quick shipping. The product looks great. Will install it this weekend. I would also like to replace the OEM air filter while I'm at it. Do you and Soler recommend an aftermarket air filter? I'm looking at BMS and Attack Blue, but am open to any recommendations. Thanks!

Thanks. Yes, the filter is an important source of restriction (especially as you approach WOT). We do not have data on them to make a recommendation. Usually, there is a trade-off between pressure drop and particle size, you want to have both as small as possible but they are inversely proportional, therefore the trade-off. Check with the filter manufacturer for data on those. I bet somewhere here in this forum there are some good leads as well.
Well I added the Soler throttle body to the Stingray today. Install went well. I took out the cheap OEM air filter and replaced with a K & N drop in filter. I followed the learning instructions given and then drove the car for about an hour. Unfortunately I have to say I was extremely underwhelmed. I did not notice one bit of difference in throttle response. I have a base Stingray without performance exhaust and driver modes don't do anything for throttle progression. I sure hope the car simply has to "learn" more in order to notice a change in performance. If not, will be sending the $435 throttle body back to Mike soon...
Hi, Firststingray. Thank you very much for your purchase. People underestimate sit of the pants (SOTP) we can give you numbers to demonstrate it does work, but if you can't feel it, then it is not worth it to you. In the end SOTP rules. You are welcome to try the 95mm (100mm Eff.) or maybe wait until fuel trims are up to speed w/ air. In any case, yes, you are covered and we'll work it out to your satisfaction.
I've decided to keep the TB, however I really have not noticed a significant improvement in the throttle response. I believe I was expecting way too much based on the overwhelming positive reviews on the forum. Plus I added a K & N filter at the same time and expected even more throttle response. DId you add the TC? What are your thoughts? Do you have the OEM air filter still in it?
i did add the controller and that made a very noticeable difference to me, it appears now that the price went up and he is sold out again. i could tell some difference with just the TB, but the 2 combined made the most difference
my car has afe intake, texas speed cam, lg long tubes, the main reason i added the TB was at low rpm it was tricky for me being this is my first cammed car.
worst case scenario, you order the tc (when they are available) try it out, dont like it, you can send it back
I'm not going to get the TC. I really wish I had used the money and installed just the AFE intake instead of the TB. Did you install the intake before the Soler TB? What were your thoughts on that?
