This may sound silly but here goes:
Our car club is having a "Dyno Day" this Saturday on a Chassis Dyno. I'm taking our 19 Z06 A8. My question is how do I set it up for the dyno? I know I have to turn off the traction control and use the transmission in manual. But what gear should the dyno pull be on? I had a 14 Z51 A6 that we dynoed and we used 4th gear since it was closest to 1:1. Whether that was right or not, it worked. 460 hp rated at the motor give 412hp at the wheels. Pretty efficient driveline for an automatic, I think.
What about the A8? Anyone dynoed theirs? What gear?
If the dyno shop is any good at all, they should be able to tell you everything you need to know for their specific environment and setup. All the best.
Thanks for the replies. I guess I had a brain fart. I could have easily looked up the gear ratios. Getting lazy. The dyno day has been postponed until next month due to rain. I'll post the numbers when it happens.
