2014 chirping sound

2014 chirping sound
good morning all
1st time corvette owner and am in need of some input. I recently took my car in for a strange ticking sound that was coming from the motor and I could feel vibration through the floor board, and gear shift.
Chevy diagnosed it to be a transmission issue and replaced the "transmission boot." well that was wrong and then diagnosed it with a bad fuel pump.
After that I drove the car maybe a hand full of times (not much. The car has a total of 13,500 miles) and now I have this noise coming from the motor. The dealership is now saying its the motor and they want 2 grand just to disassemble to diagnose. I feel like the car is making this chirping sound because of something they did and they just want to get more money out of me to fix a problem they created.
I am taking it to a local Corvette shop here in Central Florida, but before I do I was wanting some input before I get completely hosed again. Could this sound be from something the dealership did or is it pure coincidence.

i did sir. And unfortunately it wasn’t pretty. A roller rocker fell and at the camshaft. It would have been expensive but fortunetly, extended warranty covered it. I think you would cost me around $6000

i just noticed your username, mine is also a 2014 hennessey but its just the 600 hpe. Do you by chance have any pictures of the roller rocker damage?
