My left taillight signal indicator is hyperflashing. All bulbs are working and the right one works as it should. Is there a turn signal flasher somewhere? I thought maybe I would change it out but I can't find it. Where is it? Thanks in advance for any help that you can be.
True, can't hurt to disconnect the negative battery cable for a half hour. Lower the windows first to make sure you can get into the car. Also make sure the metal key in your fob will open the hatch. You will probably need to reindex (reprogram) the windows.
Thanks everyone. I tried everything that was suggested. I dropped it off at my dealer today and they said they will get it fixed. They thought it may be a loose or pinched wire, but we'll see what it really is once they have time to look at it.
Usually if a light stops illuminating you will get a warning light on the IP and a message in the DIC. I had my LED turn signal in the passenger side headlight stop working last year. That required replacing the headlight assembly since the turn signal and DRL are integral to the module. Not a cheap price to get it repaired. GMEPP was charged $1839 for the repair. Of course the headlight module was more than 50% of that price.

Expensive turn signal bulb replacement!...my right signal blinks normal three times the the console shows bulb out and hyper flashes the right signals front & back ... ALL lights working just fine! ... I think for $1839 I'll ignore for as long as I can since out of warranty!!!
Unless someone has a fix for this recurring problem OTHER than changing out the entire WORKING headlamp assembly. I would be be willing to alter the software so the damn thing just flashes normal, since ALL lamps are actually lighted .... obviously the diagnostics are seeing a voltage/amperage that is out of the normal range GM designed for.
