Default First performance mods

Hi all. Relatively new owner of my first vette (2015, Z51). I think I'm ready to start exploring performance mods and was hoping for input on what would be a good first one to look into. Sure, more power is desirable, but I'm not out racing for pinks on the weekends. More of an incremental approach and what would be a good first step. I just want to get everything I can out of the car without compromising something else. The car is not tracked, but I definitely drive aggressively enough without being labeled "the douche in the vette" around my parts. Start with a K&N or similar? Cold air intake? Any thoughts/ideas are appreciated. Thanks.

Well there are plenty of options out there these days. The intakes don't seem to make much power on the LT1 cars unless you are already modded. So you might be a little disappointed if you just throw an intake or a filter on it. Not that a 10-15hp pump should really be felt on a 450hp engine.
I'd jump into a set of long tubes. We consistently see gains of 30-35rwhp with a tune. It'll wake up your stock exhaust and if your tuner is any good the overall driving experience will be greatly increased. We usually recommend jumping in with our stage 1 package. Intake and long tubes..... Easy power, budget friendly.
If you have the cash jump into something like an A&A Supercharger. The power gains are legit. You won't have to wonder if your car is any faster because it will be a night and day difference. The price is very reasonable, especially if you order from us.

Most will do a CAI from Halltech, AFE or Vararam. X-pipe from Corsa or Borla (more for the sound than performance). Headers and if you plan on doing headers hold off on the x-pipe as the header will probably have a specific x-pipe that has to be used, often times will come with an x-pipe. A ported intake manifold or an MSD intake manifold along with a ported throttle body. A lot of people go with Soler for the throttle body and even use them with the stock intake mani as it's supposed to help with drivability. All that with a tune is about as far as you can go bolt on wise. You can also do an exhaust but the hp to dollar ratio isn't good, I think most do it for the sound as the stock NPP exhaust flows well so there's not much to be gained hp wise. That's all I can think of at the moment.

A Soler throttle controller and ported throttle body is a good start.
