NPP questions
1. Which fuse(s) exactly need to be pulled? There are 2 exhaust related fuses in the manual. Both of them? Or am I missing it?
2. If the fuse(s) are pulled, does it default to Track mode for the exhaust? Or does it depend on the mode when fuse is pulled?
3. Does the setting in the settings matter at all once fuse is pulled?
Thanks!
Todd
NPP Fuse #41 (2014), #42 (2015 - 2018), #87 (2019).
The fuse is in the same physical location, but fuses have been renumbered over the years. Check the online manual or fuse box lid for exhaust valve 2.
Fuse labelled Exh1 is the AFM valve. Pulling this fuse will set a code.
The NPP valve is SPRING OPEN, POWER TO CLOSE. So - with the Exh2 fuse pulled the NPP valves are always OPEN (which is not true in Track mode) and the exhaust settings on the info screen don't do anything.
I ran my 2014 this way for 5 years, now have fuse pulled on my GS.
