AFE wet or dry ?

AFE wet or dry ?
Looking at this intake. Is the dry version safer for the engine than the oiled version ? Or does it not matter ? Feel free to offer any opinions on this intake also. Thank you!

I've always run the dry because you don't have to reoil it when its time and if you do over oil it and gets on the Maf it can cause issues. Dry all the way.

I was in the same position about a month ago. I read that the oil filter is better overall, and can be reused forever essentially. Initially, I was concerned about reoiling the filter, until I spoke with AFE and they said they recommend re-oiling every 20 to 30,000 miles. That’s a long time away, At least for me. I probably won’t keep the car that long to be honest. Additionally, since you have to buy a new dryer filter, just buy a new oil filter. Same price. So using that logic, there’s really no reason to ever get a dry filter.

i recall reading this somewhere as well—didn’t make much sense to me. Afe doesn’t mention this, and I’ve been driving hard with it for about a month with no issues and no tune.
