Default Octane booster for hpde track days

I feel certain that this has been discussed many times before but cannot find the thread.
2019 GS. Is 93 octane sufficient or should I add a booster? If yes on booster, what is a brand that actually works and will not harm any stock parts? Thanks.

I don't think LT1 needs octane booster. Even if you do, the impact will be very low.

It's a more important question for LT4/5 since they're forced induction..

Default Thanks X25 and MMD

I was really asking about this for engine protection and not power gains. My car is plenty fast for me on the track.
tThe info was great. I think my car is tuned for 93 octane and I can find that easily enough. If I am correct then as long as I don’t have predetonation I should be good.
I appreciate your time spent answering me.

I think it's the other way around. Most octane boosters cause severe corrosion or build up inside engines, especially if used frequently. The best thing you can do for the engine is to skip the discount gas station (not suggesting that you do), and getting a top tier gas from one of the name brands. Chevron's, 76's, Shell's cleaning agents are well regarded, while Chevron's and 76's octane are measurably higher than Shell's (there are studies on this).

Octane prevents engine pre-detonation (pre-ignition knocking). The demands you put on the engine as well as environmental effects will determine how much octane your engine needs. Octane doesn't yield more power as much as it allows you to use the power you have without damaging you engine. As the article states there are many ways to increase octane. Octane boosters or mixing racing fuel with pump gas seem to be the most economical.
