Default Fuel system maintenance

Hi all. Tried searching the site for this information, but just couldn't find what I was looking for. Being somewhat of a newbie here I was looking for recommendations on a fuel additive. I've done some outside research and found 3-4 products dominating the conversation: Seafoam, Redline, Lucas and Techron. I presume the answers will be all over the place as people have their favorites, but again just looking for some input or maybe there's a product I'm overlooking.

Also, any performance gains or positive returns on using an octane booster... or simply using high octane fuel (100+) when available?

Thanks everyone.

BmR.

Most people here use a bottle of Techron every now and then. This is mostly to keep the fuel level gauge from getting stuck. If you use top tier gas (name brand) you shouldn't have a problem. High octane fuel is only needed if you have mods and a tune to take advantage of it. Never seen any reports of LT engines pinging running on premium as recommended.

Save your money on additives. If you get FI, then you might look for 93 octane minimum. Just get the tier 1 gasoline and you get all the additives you need for the engine.

found this in a search wondering about the fuel additive deal.

Last had a C5Z ... and over there pretty common to need Techron.

From what I read here ... I'll just keep doing that once/month (when it sits for a while)

thanks.
