Default Dry Sump PCV Vent Line

I was checking the oil on my 17 GS and noticed the dry sump vent line was rubbing on the top of the fuse box (red arrow in the 1st picture). It has worn about 1/3 the way through the line so it must have been rubbing since new. The replacement line ( part #12631869 ) came with insulation on the entire length of the line (second picture ). Those of you with dry sump motors might want to check for this.

Thanks for the heads up. Better to stop problem before it happens.

On my 17 Z06 the line is routed such that it "fits" in the gap to the left of the fuse box, between the box and the locking handle and vertically rather than angled as in the first picture, so it doesn't rub at all.

My 2019 cuts across the fuse lid but doesn't touch. There is no sign of wear

My '16 has the insulation. It goes across the fuse box like yours.

I can confirm this is a legit issue. My 2019 GS has this problem, I noticed the fuse box cover was scratched up and looked closer. The PCV hose is also all scratched up on the underside. Luckily I found this post, I’ve just placed an order for the new hose and new fuse box cover for $70 including shipping. I got one of the last 2019’s new so I assume most of us are out of the bumper to bumper warranty unless you bought an extended warranty. Luckily $70 and 5 minutes of time ain’t bad.
