Looking for a set of caliper pistons for the rear of my GS with non Z07 brakes.
Rock Auto has them for 42 dollars a set but they are plastic/phenolic
Racing Brake has them for 200 dollars a set and they are vented and made of stainless
Really want stainless but 400 bucks just in pistons is ridiculous and I know they were on sale a month or so ago at 133 a set/per side but apparently that’s changed.
What is wrong with reusing the pistons you have? Usually a fine Emery cloth will clean up pistons that have some deposits on them. Yours are only 4 years old at a max.
My calipers have been powder coated so new ones are not a option and my old pistons I trashed taking them out of the housing. I even did the air trick but still had a hard time getting them out.

I can't be certain but the GM rebuild kits may include a new set of pistons along with the proper assembly lube to make it easier to get the pistons installed. If you don't use the proper assembly lube the new seals will get torn when the pistons are pushed in. It should take almost no force at all to push the pistons in place when using the lube. The vast majority of auto parts stores don't carry assembly lube since they no longer sell rebuild kits. Ask one of the clerks and you will get a blank stare and then a recommendation for brake caliper slide lubricant which is not something you want to use.
Ernie is right. Give them a call. They may not have the pistons but they may be able to point you in the right direction or tell you there are no other options than plastic pistons. They have helped me many times over the years when I was trying to fix a problem.
