Nope no difference at all. Just make sure if it's a eDIFF you need to swap with a eDIFF. Meaning Z51 with Z51 or Z06 with Z06. I did this in my 14 m7. I put the 2.41 gear from a auto z51 in it so I could do the half mile without having to shift to 5th gear.

And always get the best version you can. Why would you not want the best of the best? Why wouldn’t you want the best version?
That’s like saying I want to be Michael Jordan but I’d rather him not be able to jump so high because a lay up counts the same as a dunk.
My daily, a Range Rover Supercharged is an auto and I don’t love driving a stick in stop and go traffic. But for a toy, stick only. It so much more fun and such a better driving experience.
I have had a c6 Z for a decade. I had planned on buying a C8 because I loved the renderings. Once I found out no stick, I bought another C6 and a Viper this year.
