Default Tuner

Hello Folks,

I am new to the Corvette industry. I just recently sold my 2013 5.0 and purchased a 2018 sebring orange Z51 with the carbon fiber package .

I was looking through some of the treads about the upgrades and tuning but i cannot find the exact information i need and i was hoping someone could guide me as i am new to the LS engine.

I will be purchasing either the 1 7/8" Long tubes from Kooks or American Racing Headers this week along with a Tuner. Which Tuner do you recommend? Back with my 5.0 i used a Handheld Unit with a safe Canned tune and never had any issue whatsoever. It was also very reliable and convenient. Is there a similar procedure for the LS Engines/ECUs?

No handheld tuner canned tune will work with headers ... you will get a CEL light for rear O2 sensors
I personally use a Diablo ITUNE I3 , l loaded the 93 tune and was impressed but when I added the headers high flow cats and ported intake manifold I data logged the car and got a custom tune from DIABLO Lew
I like having the ability to data log and make small changes to my custom tune

I also like the fact that if I remove everything from the car I can return the stock tune myself in about 3 minutes

Doing a mail order tune is the same as doing a street tune but your tuner might be in another state

If you want to know more feel free to email me at Dcasole at comcast.net

Ditto. I use Lew also, love the way the car runs and the flexibility.

So a Diablo seems to be one of the best options. I just saw lews website and it seems reasonable for custom tuning.

never had to data log my car so I am very interested in doing so.
