The sensor is a part of the transmission harness (inside the transmission). Clear the code and see if it comes back.
Thanks for the reply!
I cleared the code yesterday and went for about a two hour normal drive. When I got home I checked and 'no code'. I was thinking the car had been sitting for 2/4 weeks at a time lately and perhaps a low battery voltage may have set the code. What do you think? If the code returns to replace the sensor the pan would need to be removed, sensor replaced, and a fluid drain & fill with trans filter I guess would be in order? Will go for another drive today, car is still not fully charged.
Went for another drive today. Got on it this time along with the battery now being fully charged up and still no code; So it looks like I'm good to go.
I got the same code on my 2015 2 times , cleared it last year and recently checked for codes in history a month ago and it was back . Everything is working fine on the trans so I just clear it and move on ......only one time did I get the p700 code along with 711 , which is a request to turn on the check engine light
I am not going to worry about it and just chalk it up to battery glitch ......
