thanks I saw that, but they did not really show/explain the steps involved.
I have been told there are two latches on both sides of the module,I can't see them.
Also would kind of like to know if you can unlatch them by hand or does it take a tool

I never actually removed mine but if its like the similar radio module in the passenger side footwell / firewall it just unsnaps. The unit sides into a plastic tray that has tabs or clips that keep it snug in there. No tools required. I would just feel around up there and/or use your phone to shoot a quick video that you can review outside the car to help you locate the tabs. I suggest you wear gloves as the surrounding plastic and metal is unfinished and thus tends to have sharp edges which can cut you.
