I'm looking for a new set of tires for my C7. Going with non- run flats. Any suggestions as to the best ones for the least amount of road noise?
Does anyone else drive your car? Girl Friend? SO? Wife? If not, then purchase any type of tire you like for the car, your call. If yes, to my question, then can those people do the actions needed if they get a flat tire?
OP says he wants non-runflats. I cannot see that it matters why for a product recommendation. I've still got runflats on my C7, but I've had non on my C5 for nearly 20 years with only the same OEM type "equipment' the C5 Zs came with (non-runflat equipped), and no issues.
(btw, it is only because runflats have come so far since the C5 days that I still have them on the C7, or I'd be doing the same as the OP).

We have Continental Extreme Contact Sport non run flats. My wife has commented several times about what a difference they have made in comparison to the stock run flats. Much quieter and much better ride.
Thanks for the input. after much reading and research, I've just ordered the conti dws06 tires. Just me driving the car, wife on occasion, but I have the fix-a-flat kit and free towing, so I'm not too concerned. I like quiet comfort in my cars ( Mercedes, Caddy, and Ram truck ) all quiet. The c7 is just a fun car. It's my third vette, and I love it. Got the TCC shudder problem fixed last week at the stealership, but only after arguing with three different people, who all told me it was not covered under warranty. I printed, and took the TSB that I found on the forum to them and magically, all of a sudden it was covered under warranty. Thanks for all the great info that's on this forum. They did the triple flush, and seems to have the problem corrected. Really enjoy the car, and the forum.
I had the runflats on my Mercedes SLK, and they were extremely loud. I replaced them with the nons, and could hear again. Hugh difference. I haven't tried the new runflats, except the stock ones on my C7
I think if you check there is some extra coverage with the continentals (more than just rod hazard but have to register for it) Look at your paperwork. I have them & much quiter than OEM's were (OEM were getting old with only 6K miles)
