Default Tilt Steering Inoperable - Tele' works

Hopped in the car yesterday and noticed my steering wasn't auto adjusting. The telescoping adjustments work, however not the tilt. The car has a brand new Optima battery. Disconnecting the power for 15 minutes in hope of a reset did not work.
What could be causing this? A bad module or motor?

It happened to me, Motor was replaced under gmpp warranty. Motor is not expensive and replacement looks to be easy. One interesting note is that when I took it to the dealer for diagnosis the tech tapped on the motor and it started working again and continued to work til the part came in and it was swapped out. If its out of warranty drop the knee bolster and tap the motor with the end of a screwdriver--it might start working again.

Good luck, Joe

Other than the 2 7mm screws, what else entails removing the knee bolster?
