Default Traction help whip lash

I got C7 Z06 and it is souped up around 680whp. I have issues with it whip lashing hard under hard acceleration. The rear end kicks out hard if that makes sense. I was wondering if anyone has any remedies. I am thinking it has to be either my tires or wheel alignment. I have bridgestone potenza S007A on the rears. I am usually driving in around 50 degree weather I would say. I live in Washington so it usually is cooler than down South. Also my 0-60 time on the pdr 3.8 seconds. Which seems too slow. Especially since stock specs suppose to be 2.9 and my car has more power than stock.

My buddy has a souped up z06 as well. He thinks it's my tires. He has the michelin pilot sport a/s 3+. I was thinking of switching. Does anyone else have experience with these tires?

I would agree with your friend and say it's tires. I think what you're experiencing is the car saving itself. The back starts coming around and you're turning the wheel to keep it going straight when the car kills power you jump to the direction your wheels are pointing. Happens really quick and kind of unexpectedly if you're driving in auto and it down shifts. Will put you half a lane over quick lol.

As far as the AS3's go, a great tire but it's not gonna be sticky and most likely won't solve your problem although if they're doing well on your friends then they might. I do have them on mine, a GS and at the drag strip they actually hooked pretty well surprisingly. On the street I can break loose at 40 miles an hour or so but it is very controllable. For an everyday tire though, they're awesome and good mileage as well.

I think I am just going to have to try the AS3 to see how it goes. If I lived in dry hot weather climate I would probably go with ps4s I heard those are good too.

I don't believe the PS4's come in our size unfortunately. The AS3's are a great tire though, you won't be disappointed. Definitely a great tire for what it is. If you do end up needing something more traction oriented a lot of people go with Toyo R888R's. They don't come in our size either but they're close, just end up being a little taller. People rave about them.

I have the A/S3+ and they won't hold my 685 rwhp/707 rwtq. I break the tires loose in third at 60+ mph in below 50 degree weather. They are a great tire for cooler weather, nothing better you can buy in terms of cold weather performance though. You just have to learn where the car will break loose and be a little careful with the right foot when it's cold out. Not only do your tires not work as well but you're likely seeing more boost than in the warm weather too.

At your power level you really need a sticky summer tire like the Toyo R888R (PS4S doesn't come in Z06 sizes) but that's not a great option for the cold weather. I'm looking for a summer set of rims to put R888Rs on for the warm weather myself. I'll still use the A/S3+ in the winter since I daily my car.

Wow, So I just had AS3+ installed earlier today. They are performing way better than my potenzas S007a. They literally are gripping better in the rain than in my old tires did in the dry. Even when I first drove it before it was raining I was driving it around 57 degrees and it had better traction. I am thinking maybe if it was 70-80+ degrees out my old tires would perform better. For my road and climate though all seasons are definitely the way to go. Maybe in the summer my potenzas could do better.
