Does anyone know if unused Dex-Cool stored in a recapped original container has a shelf life? I have a partial jug stored since spring of 2018 in a cool, dark cabinet. Would you use it or recycle it? Thinking of using it for the less than quart needed for the coolant change. Thank You, Bob

 

I wouldn't see any problem with it is still in the original container should still be good. Seems the only way that it could get dirty or contaminated would to be used and circulated through the cooling system.

 

I have dex-cool that has been sitting for longer and I think its fine as long as its in the jug and sealed.

 

I would suspect its perfectly fine. It sits in your coolant system for much longer in much worse conditions and has a 5 yr lifespan in there.

 

Hell, who knows how long it sat in a drum before the factory put it in your car? I think it’s fine.

 

Use it and go on. What's it going to do... absorb water?
