Default Remote start

Replaced the battery in my ‘15 c7. First rejected Illinois emissions test. So have to wait 6-7 days for retest.

Second, remote start doesn’t function.

Any suggestions?

Press "Lock", then start it? It won't do it two times in a row without the car actually being started.

Yeah, you need enough ignition cycles for the emissions sensors to show "ready" when scanned. The indication clears with power interruption. Just drive the car for a week or two if you don't have a code scanner.

Press Lock and hold remote start on the fob for 4 sec per the manual.

Well, hell, it was one of those damn buttons! It probably was lock. My bad!

Remote Vehicle Start
If equipped, this feature allows the
engine to be started from outside
the vehicle.
Starting the Vehicle
1. Press and release "LOCK" on the
RKE transmitter.
2. Immediately after completing
Step 1, press and hold "Start" for at
least four seconds or until the
turn signal lamps flash.
3. Press the brake pedal and select
the ON/RUN/START
ignition mode.
When the engine starts, the parking
lamps will turn on and remain on as
long as the engine is running. The
doors will be locked and the climate
control system may come on.
The engine will continue to run for
10 minutes. Repeat the steps for a
10 minute time extension. Remote
start can be extended only once.
Canceling a Remote Start
To cancel a remote start, do one of
the following:
. Press and hold "Start" until the
parking lamps turn off.
. Turn on the hazard warning
flashers.
. Turn the vehicle on and then off.
