Insert pipe into straight through muffler to increase sound?
2014 Z51 - TSP longtubes/OR-X/MBRP axle back.

I'm sure some will consider this nonsense (and it might be) but I recently installed this MBRP axle back on my 14 Z51 and it's a little too tame for my taste. Seems like every damn muffler shop around here is backed up or I wouldn't have kept thinking about what I should do but I purchased two dynomax bullets which I was planning to install on my x-pipe and two one chamber race mufflers (basically flowmaster 10 series knock-offs) to have installed in the rear. I had this type of setup on my LS3 camaro and it sounded pretty damn good with minimal drone. Since I can't find anyone to do the work I kept thinking of ways to tweak the setup.
This idea of just inserting pipe (approx the length of the muffler itself) to effectively bypass the muffler like a really easy muffler bypass popped into my head. The way this axle back is designed as long as I fit snug pipe into the muffler it will stop towards the rear at the end of the muffler by the tips. I believe the inside of the muffler is more or less 3 inch ID so I think 2 3/4 OD pipe (maybe from the stock axle back) would slide inside and fit pretty tight. If I could pull the insert pipe out then it would be a 1 hr job to have a loud vs not as loud exhaust setup.
Thoughts?

I suspect adding the pipe inside the muffler will also reduce the flow through the muffler thus decreasing power to some degree.

Before it was pretty quiet and had some marginal drone but not a lot at highway speeds 7th gear.
Here is a video.
